    Hi,

I am a high school filmmaker who is looking for short screenplays (10-30 mins) to produce to pratice directing, editing, and shooting. Looking for Action, and Drama. I use both GlideCam 2000 Pro (like steadicam) and I have GlideCam CamCrane, fully stocked. I am located in New York City and upstate New York so looking for shorts that match the area, but it doesn't have to. Please Contact me at [email protected].

Howdy. Very impressive resume...more power to you and good luck

    BUT

Who cares whether you have SteadyCam, GlideCam, UltraSlideMaxCraneBoom 2000 you get my drift....equipment is nothing in the light of a good storyteller.

If you want to advance in the film industry as a technical person-- editor, special effects, etc., it sounds as if you're headed in the right direction.

As for the ART aspect...filmmaking is storytelling. Mark Jury is right when he says to be a good director you must know how to write. The best directors don't just have technical knowhow, they understand the principles of the story, the script, plot points, chcarcter development. Then when they use other people's screenplays, they can make it work best on the screen.

I recommend using your own ideas. Work on portraying them on the big screen. Try your hand at writing scripts. Even if you aren't the best "writer" you will gain experience and knowledge. You will understand the process of having an idea, putting it on paper, and outputting it all onto film.
Now here's a cheesy, but applicable line:
One you are master of yourself, only then can you be master of all else.

    Ha, ha...keep clean.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply, your current project sounds very interesting. I would love to give you more information on myself and my projects. I am a high school student who has been working in video since the age of ten, I have been trained to do both offline editing and online editing. I am also trained in Multi-Camera Live Action Directing, Lighting, Audio, and Visual Effects.

I have also done photography for 4 years and I own my own little photography studio in SoHo New York City. I have been published in Magazines and have worked for Harpers Bazaar, Vogue (German issue, even though I am not German), Rollingstones Magazine, and QV.

I also was the assistant editor on a AirHeads the candy commercial.

My sisters boyfriend is Collin Quinn from Saturday Night Live (National Broadcast on NBC) so I will be working with them a little bit on his new and upcoming TV Show.

So, as you can see I have done alot.

I shoot with a Hi-8mm Video Camera (soon DV) and I own my own GlideCam (Like a Steadicam) and a 15 foot Camera Crane. I also have a complete offline Digital Editing computer and my own Black and White/Color Darkroom for Photo.

Hope to here from you soon,

    Thanks,
    Sean Micha Siegel
